The International Naturist
Federation defines naturism as follows:
"Naturism
is a way of life in harmony with nature, characterized by the practice of
communal nudity, with the intention of encouraging respect for oneself,
respect for others and for the environment".
Naturists are simply people who enjoy the freedom
and sensual experience of being clothes free. Naturism is usually a
communal activity. There are naturist clubs, public naturist
beaches, saunas, health clubs, naturist swims and more.
Naturists are sometimes called nudists - especially in
the USA. Although some people try to distinguish between the names, in
most cases they mean the same thing.
Naturists come from all walks of life, some are
conservative and traditional, others are liberal and open-minded. In
many European countries a significant percentage of the population are
involved in some sort of naturist activities. This site has many
